Home Sweet Home

Winnie the Pooh said it best, “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

After 3 flights, 6 states, 2,000 miles, and countless memories, it is time to return to the homestead. Saying “See ya soon” to dad in Indiana wasn’t the funnest, but Joseph & I had to get back to work here at Berry Town. Although adventures are exciting, there is nothing like coming home. Seeing Ci Ci & Pop awaiting our arrival when we got off of our flight in New Orleans was the best! The 100 face times back & forth were nice, but there is nothing like the real hugs and kisses.

Today, we are back at work, counting our blessings. For the opportunity to spend time with Gavin while he is far from home, to be able to make memories along the way, and to have the best family in the world to come home to.

We cannot wait for our next adventure with dad, but for now while we are apart, we will just remember.. We are under the same sky, looking at the same moon.

We are Blessed.

  1. My wife picked up a flat of strawberries yesterday… Worst berries ever. Today, nearly half were spoiled, the salvageable berries were not anywhere close to sweet. The spoilage was the most disappointing… Incredible waste.
